Thingus is a personal assistant you talk to, on the website or over iMessage. You sign in with your phone number, and the conversation that follows is yours. The messages, the memories, the plans, and the Thingies all live in your world.
A Thingy is a small card Thingus makes when something you’re working on needs more than a text: a list, a plan, a decision, that kind of thing. You can open it and tap it. A Thingy you open can ask this phone for the calendar, reminders, contacts, or a health summary. It asks only when you tap, and health stays on the phone until you save it or send it to Thingus. Every so often Thingus will also send a short-lived card so you can review a browser step or take over the browser yourself. Those are only for that moment. They aren’t part of the Thingies you keep.
If you’ve connected Google, Thingus can read your mail and calendar. It will not send mail, change an event, or do anything else that writes to Google until you confirm it in the thread. Please don’t use Thingus to hurt other people, or to do something illegal.
We’re still building this, so the product will change. This page describes how it works today. If you want the longer version of what we keep and what we don’t, that’s on the privacy page.
